We are happy to help you order a replacement plaything if something gets lost or chewed up by a furry friend (it happens!). Does Lovevery offer replacement parts for the Play Gym? The Play Gym is designed for babies from 0-12 months of age, but we see many older babies and toddlers enjoying it, too! Babies 12-18 months of age especially enjoy the Play Gym with the Play Space Cover added. When can I start using the Play Gym? What ages are the Play Gym designed for? For long-term storage, we recommend saving the box. The legs disconnect from the connector in seconds and can be laid inside the mat and rolled up for storage. Where can I find assembly instructions for the Play Gym and the Play Space Cover? How do I put the Play Gym together? But we know that every baby plays differently and that needs differ depending on lifestyle. Furthermore, we know that many of our parents like to have playthings specifically for use with the Play Gym as opposed to a set to put in the diaper bag, take to grandma's house, etc. The Play Gym and first year of Play Kits are meant to complement each other, so there are some important concepts (like the use of black and white high-contrast images) that are highlighted in both the Gym and in the first Play Kit in particular, but in different ways (so a rattle, a special first book, etc.). The Play Gym offers a whole year of play for foundational brain development, while the baby Play Kits target two-month blocks of development for deeper focus. Both are stage-based to promote baby's brain development. The Baby Play Kits and Play Gym complement each other, with very little overlap. How are the Play Kits different from the Play Gym? Is there overlap? The wooden and plastic components should not be laundered but can be wiped down with a damp cloth as needed. We recommend all product components to be air dried. Make sure to press the squeakers in the Making Sounds Zone several times to remove any excess water. Launder in cold water on the gentle cycle. Īfter that, you need to install an X server for Windows. In this blog post, I’ll explain how to do it.įirst, you need to setup WSL2, following the guide at. By running a Wayland compositor directly in your Windows machine, you avoid all the aforementioned problems. With the WSL subsystem on Windows, it is actually possible to run directly (albeit through an X server and so far unfortunately only OpenGL software) a Wayland compositor and clients. It has several disadvantages: worse performance, an OS and environment that you are not used to, possibly bad or no hardware support for some devices, and a clunky user experience. Many projects that target a Linux embedded platform but are developed on Windows because of some tooling that is only available there or for any other reason end up using a Linux virtual machine, which is a far less than optimal solution. However, that and Wayland, in general, are only available on Linux, which may prove to be a problem for many. Qt provides both a Wayland platform allowing you to run Qt applications as Wayland clients in a Wayland compositor and a library to build a Wayland compositor, both using QML or not, in the Qt Wayland module. It’s a far simpler and more attractive protocol compared to X11, allowing much more flexibility in developing custom compositors and control in the display compositor on how the client applications are shown and with less decades-old baggage to keep around and take into account. After quite a few years of incubation, it’s becoming much more common. Wayland was developed to replace the X11 server on the Linux system. Wayland is a display protocol, a protocol (and accompanying C library) spoken by a graphical application with a display server in order to communicate about both input to the application (keyboard, mouse, …) and about output from the application - that is, the rendered window. Third, it is not stable to use for it only functions with the aid of Firefox browser. Second, it often results in slowing the browser that results in a crash or freezing. First, it saves the audio file in MP4 format which take a lot of disk space. However, there are some concerns that are associated with this add on. Just click the down arrow and save it to your destination folder. When you play a song on Pandora, you can notice a three colour balls circling around at the top left portion. It is a lens you can shoot with all day or easily keep tucked away when needed. It is also an inexpensive investment that promises to improve your photography without weighing down your camera or your bag. It is also lightweight and fast at focusing, making it an overall pleasurable experience.Ī 50mm lens is often referred to as a “nifty fifty” because it is so versatile and easy to use. You can keep this lens on your camera all day and rarely find a situation where you wished you had a different lens. A 50mm lens, on the other hand, is excellent at portrait, street, and landscape photography. Likewise, telephoto lenses (200-300mm) are excellent choices for photographing wildlife or sporting events, but not so good when shooting street photography where you may not want to draw attention to yourself. Working with shallow depth of field also requires developing accuracy with focus, which is an added bonus that will benefit all of your photography.Ī wide-angle lens (less than 35mm) is perfect for landscape photography, but you wouldn’t want to use one for taking portraits as it can cause unwanted distortion. For around $200, you can buy a 50mm f/1.8 lens (or 35mm f/1.8 for crop cameras) that will provide some excellent shallow depth of field. While you can find lenses out there such as Nikon’s 24-70mm f/2.8, which offers a good focal range and can produce a shallow depth of field, it’s also around $1800. However, your kit lens probably only goes down to about f/3.5, whereas a truly shallow depth of field begins around f/2.8. This can be achieved by using a low f-stop on the lens. When you see a portrait, for instance, that has a softly blurred background behind the subject, this is caused by using a shallow depth of field. Having a fixed focal length also requires you to spend a little more time composing each shot, which is never a bad thing. Likewise, if you need to back up to see something more fully, you’d be doing the same with a 50mm lens. If, without a camera, you need to get closer to something to get a better look at it, you’d do the same with a 50mm lens (or equivalent) mounted on your camera. The reason this is a good focal length to train your eye is that there is nothing to get used to. Keep in mind though, that if you have a crop camera, such as a Nikon D5300 or a Canon 70D, then it is the 35mm lens that is roughly equivalent to 50mm on a full-frame camera (a 50mm lens is still a GREAT choice for a crop). With all of the choices out there (wide-angle, telephoto, macro), why should you pick up a 50mm and why should it be the second thing you buy? There are several reasons.Ī 50mm lens comes the closest to capturing what you eye naturally sees, so many beginning photographers find it a good training lens. A lot of advice tells you to invest in lenses, but which one should you start with? If you look into many professional photographer’s bags, you’ll come across the answer-a 50mm prime lens. Now you’re starting to think about what to buy next. You’ve been playing with the features, getting to know the camera and the lens. So you’ve picked up your first DSRL along with a kit lens. We may not know that the lens that produced them was a nifty fifty, but we are all used to photographs that have the perspective and geometry of this lens.A 50mm f/1.8 should be a beginner's 2nd lens That story was repeated millons of times, right round the world.īarnack’s choice of the 50mm and the availability and (comparative) cheapness of 50mm lenses from there on was instrumental in creating the “look” that we associate with classic photographs of the 35mm era. When I bought my first SLR, it was the Leica-influenced Pentax ME Super. My first interchangeable lens camera was a Russian Leica copy – a Zorki 4K – and it came with a 50mm. Other manufacturers started making cameras to the same 35mm film standard as the Leica, and they sold 50mm lenses as “the standard lens”. The idea and Leica cameras caught on – both with more “artistic” photographers like Cartier-Bresson, and with the press. When Ernst Leitz and Oskar Barnack turned 35mm cinema film round and put it in a tiny body to create the first Leica prototype, the lens they put on the front was a 50mm. However, after FEFF calculation, they become C1.1 C2.1 C3.1, so do the other atoms like nitrogen and hydrogen. The VESTA GUI shows that there are C1, C2, and C3 carbons in a unit cell. I GOT SOME QUESTIONS when I imported the CIF File into the FEFF calculation.ġ) I’m confused with the atom label. I’m practicing EXAFS fitting with some standard crystal data. 主题: Question-FEFF calclulated atom coordinates and labels Sorry for the trouble, I forgot to register this email. The second occurrence from the absorbing atom of the O1 atom will be denoted at O1.2. When the unit cell is expanded to make the cluster the O1 atom may show up in the first path and then again at a longer distance in say the 4th path. Each of them are denoted by the number following the letter, i.e. A single scattering path is shown as O1.1 This can be understood as the photoelectron generated at the absorbing atom travels to the first occurrence of the first oxygen atom in the unit cell and then back to the adsorbing atom. The Path-column on the paths-page shows symbol for the scattering atom. However, the remaining C atom on the ring has then to be C2, but it seems it can't generate eight degeneracy of the path (raw 5, N1.1 C2.1 I don't know how to apportion C1 and C2 in that image then. In this way, the eight degeneracies of C1.1 and N1.1 C1.1 can be satisfied. If I understand it correctly, C1 refers to the two C atoms next to the N atom, and C3 is on the methyl pendant group. I want to chime in here and add my question. See that C1 and C2 are very close to the same distance from Zn. Here is a picture of where those atoms are and their distances from Zn. In addition: You don’t get to decide which atoms are C1, C2 and C3 this is done based on the unit cell that goes as input into the feff calculation. But then you can have the photoelectron travel in two different ways between these atoms like this: or so there are two paths for each of the 4 atom groups. The degeneracy of path 5 is 8 because there are 4 groups of N1 atoms and C1 atoms (giving 4 paths). Here is the output with the margin set to zero. So if the Margin is set to 0.03 and the C1 atom is close to the C2 atom in distance from Zn, they both will be included in the degeneracy, although only one is used for the path description. The Path denotation C1 is just one representation of the path. The Margin parameter is used to reduce the number of paths that have very similar bond lengths. Maybe your questions will be answered if you rerun the feff calculation and set the Margin parameter to zero as shown here: Subject: Re: Question-FEFF calclulated atom coordinates and labels Thank you very very much for the patient and detailed answer!Ĭarlo, I appreciate your additional suggestion thank you! Each channel has a gain knob and a fader. If you’ve ever gone into a recording or radio studio the biggest piece of kit in the room is the soundboard or mixing desk. That great for an electric guitar but awful on a voice. We hear it as clipping and distortion, where the audio sounds very fuzzy and grungy. We see that as peaking, where an audiometer goes into the red and hits the 0dB end stops. What signal is left overpowers the audio circuits. Just like the excess water overtopping the basin, the extra audio signal can’t be processed and will be lost. But instead of a watery mess on the floor, your sound will sound messed-up because there’s too much signal to deal with. When recording, that extra flow of audio signal is too much for the sound card to cope with. The water will rise and spill over the sides, creating a mess. If opened too much, you’re pouring way more water into the basin or tub than can drain away. Think of turning open that water faucet again. Having the gain knob turned way too high is one of the main reasons why straight out the box, many people want to know why their Yeti mic sounds bad and how they can make their Yeti microphone sound better.Īpart from picking up lots of background noise, having the Blue Yeti gain too high can mean you’ll be sending too much signal into your computer. The Yeti is a condenser mic and condenser mics are very sensitive. With the gain turned up you’ll hear the fan on your computer, the rustle of your clothes as you move about, other people talking down the hall. The Blue Yeti is a “hot mic”, meaning at its highest setting the output is quite high, you’ll find that it’s easy to hear quiet sounds. So, the higher you turn the gain the louder you and any background sound will sound. But instead of controlling the amount of water flow, it controls the amount of sound you’re feeding into your computer. Think of the gain knob like a faucet or tap. But if you’ve set up in a bedroom or office where there’s plenty of background noise, you’ll need to turn down the gain and get closer to the Yeti. If you have a soundproof voiceover booth you will be able to set the gain higher because you won’t have any background noise. However, it will depend on the room where you have set up. Most podcasters, YouTubers, and streamers find turning the knob to somewhere between the minimum and about halfway produces the best results. Turn the gain back up, bit by bit, to figure out the best level for your situation. Initially use the gain knob to turn the Blue Yeti gain all the way down, then experiment, increasing the gain. Tip 5: Use the Blue Yeti gain knob to set the maximum level If your friend got onto your computer and visited a bunch of adult sites, then I would recommend something like OnyX, doing ALL the cleaning and maintenance aspects and rebooting, perhaps followed by a Disk Utility Erase free space.ĬCleaner beta is out for OS X, used on PC's and combines cleaning and scrubbing of the drive if setup correctly.
